Custom lapel pins are a type of promotional product used to represent a brand, organization, or event. They are small pins attached to a backing, usually made of fabric or metal, and can be designed with various materials, colors, and finishes. Common uses for custom lapel pins include employee recognition, trade show giveaways, and event mementos. They can also be used as collectibles or part of a uniform. With a wide range of design options, custom lapel pins offer a unique way to promote a message, logo, or symbol.
What are Lapel Pins?
Lapel pins are small decorative items worn on the lapel of a jacket or suit, often used to signify affiliation, honor service, commemorate events, or showcase personal style. They come in various designs, often worn on jackets, hats, and bags. Also, other than clothes, many display pins proudly on everyday items to showcase the collection.
Common things to put pins on include backpacks, custom pinboards, corkboards, old denim jackets, pin banners, old frames, and earring displays. Made from various materials, such as iron, brass, zinc alloy, and stainless steel, custom metal pins are particularly popular due to their durability and polished look.
Materials
Material choice significantly affects the cost of custom lapel pins. Lapel pins come in a wide variety of materials, including iron, brass, and zinc alloy, and commonly used options like stainless steel and aluminum for printed designs. We also specialize in crafting high-end lapel pins from pure silver. Our team carefully evaluates each customer’s design and budget to recommend the ideal material, ensuring the perfect blend of quality and affordability.
Quantity
Order quantity influences the price per unit. Larger orders benefit from bulk pricing, reducing the cost per pin. Our minimum order quantity (M.O.Q) is 100 pieces per design.
Designs
We produce pins in various sizes and shapes, including round, square, and multi-angled, with possible adjustments for production limitations. Enhancements like glow-in-the-dark colors, glitter, gemstones, and flashing lights offer diverse customization options
Coloration
Our coloring option follows PANTONE standards, with costs increasing with more colors selected. Uncolored pins are also available. While many manufacturers shift to using imitation hard enamel, we continue using real hard enamel (cloisonné), known for its century-lasting colors. Our materials undergo annual CPSIA and EN71 testing for safety and quality.
We’ve adopted UV printing to enhance production. Previously, complex multicolor designs required manual coloring, which was costly and time-consuming. Our UV printing machines allow for full-color printing on recessed areas or intricate 3D surfaces, reducing lead times and costs while maintaining design integrity and breaking the coloring limitations on complex designs.
Plating
All pins can be plated in various colors, including gold, silver, bronze, dual colors, black nickel, brass, and antique finishes. Our factory, with comprehensive plating facilities and sustainability recognition, ensures high-quality finishes while meeting environmental standards.
Packaging
Exceptional packaging enhances product appeal and protection. We offer OPP bags, velvet bags, paper backings, blister tray boxes, and custom-designed packaging, with options for spot color or CMYK printing, and gold or silver hot foil stamping.
Collectibles and Unique Gifts
Enamel pins are popular as gifts and collectibles. They can be given as tokens of appreciation or collected as a hobby. With designs ranging from cartoon characters to themed icons, enamel pins have become sought-after items in pin trading communities and expos. Moreover, school staff, club activities, and graduation ceremonies often use lapel pins for identification, gifting, or commemoration.
